Yo sup??

x+y=4 -----1

x-y=6 ----2

adding equation 1 and 2 we get

2x=10

x=5

from equation 1 we get

5+y=4

y=-1

Since a definite value of x and y exists therefore the set of equations are consistent.

Hope this helps.
