[tex]x = \frac{-b +/- \sqrt{b^{2} -4ac} }{2a} [/tex]

a = 2
b = 6
c = 3

[tex]x = \frac{-6 +/- \sqrt{6^{2} -4*2*3} }{2*2} [/tex]

[tex]x = 0.634[/tex] or [tex]x = -2.366[/tex]
