There are 2 types of DNA strands, the coding, and the template strand. The template strand of DNA is complementary and antiparallel to RNA transcribe from a gene, it is utilized for mRNA template synthesis while coding strand is not used as a template. Template strand contains merely anticodons and codons for the coding strand.
