Solve each system by substitution.
y = -6x + 1
y = -5

Can anyone help? (dont just give the answer please ^^')

y=-6x+1
y=-5

plug second equation into first and you get

-5=-6x+1
-6=-6x
-6x=-6
6x=6
x=1

then plug x into first equation and you get that y=-6*1 +1 = -6+1=-5

therefore x=1 and y =-5
