You would split an uneven number in half, by multiplying the uneven number by 5, and adding a decimal in between the numbers. (i.e. 9 x 5 = 45 = 4.5) Hope this helps:)
5+4=9 right but 9 divided by 2 is 4.5 you have to even out the numbers 1like 5+4=9 but 4.5 *4.5 also equals 9.
