Mesopotamia was the land between and around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, in the place where today's Iraq, Kuwait, parts of Syria and Turkey lie, between the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean sea.
The Fertile crescent was Mesopotamia plus Egypt plus the land between them, today's Israel.
