The equation for the dissociation of acetic acid is:
CH3CO2H(aq) + H2O(l) <---> H3O+(aq) + CH3CO2-(aq)
   pH = 0.5(4.74 - lg(0.5)) = 2.52
    so
    [H^+] = 3.02*10^-3 M = 3.02 mM
