Hey there,

5x - 3x + x + 8 = 2x + 1 +x = x
Combine like terms

3x + 8 = 3x + 1 = x
-x -x -x

2x + 8 = 2x + 1
-2x -2x

8 = 1

There is no answer because 8 is not equal to 1

Hope I helped :)
